What is LSR and HCR Silicone Molding?
Liquid silicone rubber and high-consistency rubber can both be molded into a variety of products. HCR has dominated the manufacturing process for years. It can be used at temperatures ranging from -50℃ to +300℃ and has great aging resistance, making it a go-to option for demanding industries.
LSRs have lower viscosity than HCRs, which means they flow more easily. They’re more readily processed through injection molding and have become a popular choice for that reason. HCRs are still useful, but they must be processed through more labor-intensive methods like transfer and compression molding.
